Day 6 – Dizzy
Well I made it to the gym this morning with no stones attacks and with quite achy and wobbly legs from the last effort. I aimed to complete set 2 which I will summarise at the bottom of this article. I added a new exercise to it as it was feeling a bit light with what was there. The one thing I will say, the 5 minute run at the end nearly killed me. I think I am exaggerating, but I may not be. When I was in the shower my head was spinning so much I couldn’t focus and really needed a sit down. I was also pretty disorientated. It seems this was largely due to lack of blood pressure / dehydration, so I really do need to address my fluid intake much more aggressively.
So my last effort of routine 2 was as follows…
- Fixed Cycle – Resistance 9 – 10 minutes
- Cable seated row – 40 KG – 0 sets – 0 reps – Machine Broken!
- Lat pull down (front) – 40 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps
- Angled Leg press – 90 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps
- Seated Bicep Curls – 20 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps (replacement for the cable seated row)
- Treadmill run – Incline 3 – Speed 7.5 – 5 minutes
Todays effort was this…
- Fixed Cycle – Resistance 9 – 10 minutes
- Cable seated row – 40 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps
- Lat pull down (front) – 40 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps
- Angled Leg press – 100 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps
- Seated Bicep Curls – 20 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps
- Seated Crunch Machine – 30 KG – 3 sets – 10 reps
- Treadmill run – Incline 3 – Speed 8.5 – 5 minutes
So, a little faster on the treadmill, possibly a bad idea, the new crunch machine, which really had me struggling on the last set and I kept the curls in despite the seated row machine working again. These were a bit easier than the last time, but i still struggled on the final reps of set 3. I’m going to leave all numbers as they are when I do this one next time.
Tomorrow is Saturday and my legs have been aching and stiff all day so I am debating (with myself) on whether to go for a 30 minute swim tomorrow or back to set one. The attack threw my routing out a little but actually may have helped in the long run.
Overall pleased with the progress.
